QUIENES SOMOS
Somos una ODV (volunteering organization), an international cooperation body without profit purposes.
We think that giving is always precious but often there is only one side that gives and another that receives, thus losing a great potential for growth and establishing a relationship in which one is the "strong" part and the other the "weak" part.
We believe that both sides can give and receive to generate a new future that allows everyone to grow and enrich themselves.
That is why our project not only focuses on "bringing there" and "doing there" but also wants to "bring here" to create a bridge that can make the future of both sides flourish.
In fact, we believe that South America and its children can transfer a lot and enrich the perspective of our own, who unfortunately too often find themselves developing emotional fragility and insecurities due to the "virtual life" in which they are inevitably immersed. A look at life made of possibilities, of different perspectives, of stories of building a different future, of life-generating strength.
¿POR QUÉ NACIÓ SENDAS?
LA SITUACIÓN EN COLOMBIA
Para la educación básica hay un maestro que logra ir a los pueblos sólo una semana al mes para dar lecciones a todos los niños del pueblo. Muchas veces ni siquiera hay un edificio donde dar clases y los niños se reúnen bajo un árbol que les da sombra o bajo una carpa improvisada. En Colombia la tasa de deserción escolar es muy alta y hay zonas rurales completamente desprotegidas tanto de escuelas como de centros de agregación y donde, por tanto, domina la pobreza.
THE SITUATION IN ITALY
En la ciudad de Milán (Italia) los chicos están muy ocupados en mil actividades escolares y extraescolares.
Generalmente viven en una situación de bienestar. Pero este mismo hábito de tener cosas sin mucho esfuerzo los adormece un poco, los vacía del "hambre" de vivir y soñar.
Por tanto, un encuentro experiencial con quienes tienen poco y, a pesar de ello, son felices, ayudaría a los jóvenes de Milán a redescubrir la alegría de vivir, a valorar lo que poseen y a reconocerlo como un don, a basar su vida en lo que es esencial y permanece.
LA SOLUCIÓN ES LA DEL ENRIQUECIMIENTO MUTUO, DE UN INTERCAMBIO QUE GENERE VIDA.
CREANDO UNA UNIÓN ENTRE ITALIA Y COLOMBIA.
¿COMO?
En cuanto a Colombia, crear centros juveniles y comunitarios que puedan funcionar como escuelas por la mañana, como centros juveniles (estilo oratorio) por la tarde, y como lugares de encuentro y intercambio (conferencias, escuela nocturna, deportes, aprendizaje de oficios... ) para toda la comunidad del pueblo o zona por la tarde o en otros horarios.
The structure alone is not enough to educate but must be inhabited by an educator. In fact, we train these educators (with experiential trips, with in-person and online courses) and support them with food and accommodation.
En cuanto a Italia, brindar a los chicos la experiencia de viajar a Colombia donde, a través del voluntariado, encuentran una nueva cultura, personas diferentes, niños de otros países y así enriquecerse y ampliar su visión de la vida. Español online, que luego son lecciones sobre cultura italiana y cultura colombiana impartidas por profesores voluntarios y por los propios estudiantes, implementando formas de colaboración en proyectos comunes (como campamento de verano, etc.).
¿POR QUÉ SENDAS?
SENDAS, means PATH, ITINERARY.
In fact, we offer and support new educational and human paths, new life and exchange itineraries that give children the opportunity to escape poverty (both economic and human) and have a broader life horizon for their future.
This happens through schools (which are the place for educational, emotional, and human development) and youth aggregation centers (such as oratories, which are the informal place for growth and exchange).
