CENTROS JUVENILES
The heart of the project is to create youth and community centers that are multipurpose facilities. Centers that act as schools in the morning and as youth meeting centers (oratories) in the afternoon and, more generally, as the community center of the village, managed by an educator.
This project has currently been launched in Colombia and consists of:
building new community centers in the most remote villages so that they become the meeting point of the community, as well as hosting the
teachers who will teach there and
the center's reference educator.
using the existing schools in the area as youth meeting centers in the afternoon.
These are the two main objectives; thanks to the many years of experience of our team in the educational and organizational field, we are taking steps to train new educators on site, so that they become points of reference, and during the summer we will bring our summer camp to three schools in the area (Coredi-Marinilla, Coredi-Rionegro, Coredi-El Peñol) with our team to train and experience firsthand what it means to animate; it will also be an opportunity to train new animators and educators.

LOS PASOS QUE HEMOS DADO
En los últimos meses hemos continuado con los tres oratorios de verano ya activos en Milán (IT), seis chicos colombianos en Milán vinieron a visitarnos para vivir el oratorio de verano durante todo el mes de junio, donde aprendieron a organizar y gestionar un oratorio, pero también adquiriendo experiencia de vida; fueron acogidos por unas familias donde tuvieron la oportunidad de compartir su cultura y compararla, visitaron y conocieron la historia de Italia, fuimos a Roma, Florencia y Como. Todo ello para meterlo en el equipaje y abrirles los ojos a un tema que nosotros, como ellos, tenemos muy cerca del corazón: la educación de los más pequeños.
En July, at the end of the Italian summer oratories, we took nine boys from the Milan oratories to Colombia.
After a quick visit to the area and a brief study of the country's history, the boys dedicated themselves for a week to the newly created oratories (Coredi Marinilla, Coredi Rionegro, Coredi El Peñol). Each day in a different oratory, collaborating with local animators to organize games, activities, workshops, so that the children could spend a day full of joy and happiness.
In addition, the surprise was when the bishop of the diocese of Sonson-Rionegro, Monsignor Fidel, came to visit us with about twenty priests to better understand what an oratory was and why it was necessary to "waste" time; fascinated by the testimonies of the young people, he decided to open oratories throughout his diocese as soon as possible, two of which have already been activated: the Oratorio La Piñuela in Cocornà and Oratorio La Presentaciòn in Rionegro.
As the last act of this experience, together with the animators of the Coredi Marinilla oratory, the boys set off for the mission in the town of Santa Ana Granada.
In recent months we have also worked in a network with various associations and organizations present in the Italian territory (Oratorio Gentilino, Oratorio LaRiva, Oratorio San Cipriano, ASD Gentilino, ASD Juvenilia), Colombian (Organización Coredi, Diócesis de Sonson-Rionegro, Amigos del Mar) and Brazilian (Asociación Savipa); thanks to this last collaboration, Sendas helps in the management and support of the six oratories (São Vicente, Canyon, Belo Horizonte, Vale Verde, Diamantino, Centenário) founded by Savipa in the Brazilian favelas of the city of Caxias do Sul, in the region of Rio Grande do Sul.
