SENDAS ACADEMY
Sendas Academy is a vocational discernment and training program that takes place in Rionegro, in the Antioquia region of Colombia. It is aimed at Colombian youth who have just finished high school, generally between 16 and 17 years old, an age at which they are often not yet ready to make important decisions about the future.
For this reason, Sendas Academy offers a semester dedicated to personal discovery, before starting university or entering the workforce. During these months, participants experience various activities:
academic activities, to explore interests and intellectual abilities.
volunteering and service, to open up to others and take action.
practical experiences, to learn with their hands and heart.
The goal is to help each young person get to know themselves better, mature in their decisions, and acquire tools to guide their life in a freer and more conscious way.
The program is guided by a resident trainer and enriched by the presence of local and international volunteers who accompany the young people in this unique experience.
